Monkey Trench Studios is the name of the recording studio owned by Mike Herrera in Bremerton, Washington. It opened it's doors on July 1, 2008. Prior to the opening of "The Trench", MxPx built a recording studio (Spring 1999) in Mike's parent's garage which they called The Clubhouse. This space was later converted into the business office of Michele Herrera (Mike's mom and the MxPx business manager) as well as the place of operations for the Merch Arsenal.
In addition to recording a lot of MxPx material, Monkey Trench (and previously The Clubhouse) has afforded Mike the opportunity to record a number of side projects and to also record and produce quite a few other artists. Monkey Trench has become somewhat more independent from Mike in the day to day operations and has grown to the point that it has become nearly impossibly to keep track of all of the artists which have recorded there. However below I will give at least a partial list of albums which have been recorded at the studio. The Trench has also had a few semi-permanent staff members over the years such as Bradly Miranda, Greg Bennett, and Jake Long. Ric Vaughan is the current studio manager. I will also give a list of the albums which I know to have been recorded at The Clubhouse as well as make mention of the one other album not recorded at either of the studios in Bremerton, but which Mike produced. The below list is mostly chronological. |
